The Islah party has strongly condemned the death sentence issued by the Houthi-Saleh militias against the detained journalist Abdul-Raqeeb al-Jubaihi.
In a statement, the Media Dept. of Islah asserted the nullity of the sentence and all other measures taken by the Houthi-Saleh militias.
It warned against harming the detainees, saying that all those people involved in prosecuting and issuing such sentences will be criminally responsible.
It reiterated that the sentence is only a death memo issued by the Houthi Movement against a Yemeni civilian who refused the coup, indicating that they tried to cover their execution with show trials.
Islah called international local and international organizations interested in human rights to move forward and put pressures on Houthi rebels to end violations against civilians and those who reject coup.
It also demanded the international community, particularly the United Nations and its envoy, to Yemen to strongly condemn violations, terrorism, torture inside jails and executions through comic trials.
