Education Minister: 1700 schools were damaged

Minister of Education Abdullah Lamlas has revealed that about 1700 schools were totally or partially damaged, pointing out that Yemen needs over $50 million to reconstruct them.
He asserted that the ministry issued a circular to all schools not to receive any books from Sana'a, which is still controlled by the Houthi-Saleh militias, signlling out that the militias made amendments by the Houthi-Saleh militias and sectarian ideologies were added to them.
He affirmed that the ministry absorbed all displaced students, making clear that 90,000 teachers of the governorates which are still run by the Houthi-Saleh militias have not received their salaries.
