Minister of the Local Administration Abdul-Raqeeb Fatah has condemned the seizure of 200 relief convoys allocated to the governorate of Taiz by the Houthi-Saleh militias, affirming that such acts are terrorism.

Fatah who also on charge of the Higher Relief Committee denounced the continuation of the siege imposed by the Houthi-Saleh militias on Taiz.

He demanded the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) to condemn acts practiced by the militias and put pressures on them to release the relief

He said that the continuation of seizing relief convoys and abduction of assistance organizations' staff worsen the humanitarian situation and portending an assured humanitarian catastrophe in the governorates which are still run by the Houthi-Saleh militias.

Fatah spelt out that the government previously demanded the UN organizations working in Yemen to have other ways of delivering assistances to the liberated governorates to avoid being seized by the militias.
