More than 31,000 people forced into displacement within eight months: Executive Unit says

The Executive Unit for the Management of IDPs Camps said that more than 31,000 Yemenis were displaced during the first eight months of this year.
In a new report the Unit said it had tracked the displacement of 5,690 families, representing 31,424 individuals, who were displaced from 20 different governorates and settled in 10 governorates, during the period from January 1 to August 31, 2023 AD.
In its report on the displacement situation last August, the governmental Unit said it had documented the displacement of 355 families, representing (1,693 individuals), including 249 families, representing (1,233 individuals), who were displaced for the first time, while 106 families, representing (460 individuals), were displaced for the second time during the period.
It indicated that 44% of these families were displaced from Al-Hudaydah Governorate, followed by Taiz with 27%, then Marib and Abyan Governorates with 10%, while the rest of the cases come from the governorates of (Al-Bayda, Ibb, Lahj, and Al-Dhalea.
