New martyrs and wounded in continuous Israeli bombardment of Gaza ahead of expected truce

The Israeli occupation army continued its bombardment of many areas in the Gaza Strip, leaving a number of martyrs, wounded and missing, amid ambiguity regarding the start date of the anticipated 4-day truce.

Dr. Ashraf Al-Qudra, spokesman for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, said that the occupation forces dealt violently with the medical staff and patients and arrested the director of the Shifa Hospital.

He held the Israeli occupation and the United Nations responsible for the arrest of medical staff.

There is widespread anticipation regarding the entry of humanitarian truce agreement into force and the truce is expected to last 4 days, subject to extension, after joint mediation efforts between Qatar, Egypt, and the United States.

The agreement includes the exchange of 50 Israeli prisoners held in Gaza Strip, in exchange for the release of a number of Palestinian women and children detained in Israeli prisons.

The truce will also allow the entry of a larger number of humanitarian convoys and relief aid, including fuel designated for humanitarian needs.
