The International Federation of Journalists condemned death sentences issued the terrorist Houthi militia against Taha Al-Maamari owner of the "Yemen Digital Media" and "Yemen Live for Media Production and Satellite Broadcasting" companies.
On September 24, a so-called court run by the terrorist Houthi militia in Sana'a issued a ruling to execute Al-Maamari and confiscate his property in and outside the country, according to a statement by the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate (YJS).
The IFJ said in a statement it joins its affiliate, the YJS "in condemning the arbitrary ruling and urges de facto authorities and other armed groups to end their use of the judiciary to attempt to intimidate and silence journalists and media workers in the country and abroad."
