Spokesman for the Yemeni Reform (Islah) Party, praised the bravery of women in Hadhramaut who participated in a recent event despite violent attacks by separatists.

In a statement, Adnan Al-Odayni,  said, "We salute our sister activists in Hadhramaut who stood alongside men, contributing to the preservation of this noble nation against turmoil."

He emphasized that their determination to hold the event, despite challenges, is a heroic act that history will record and Yemen will acknowledge one day.

Al-Odayni stressed that local authorities must fulfill their duties to secure events, protect participants, and prosecute attackers to uphold state authority and prevent chaos in Hadhramaut.

The event, organized by the Islah women's division in Mukalla city, was attacked by armed men carrying flags of the separatist Southern Transitional Council during celebrations of Yemen's September and October revolutions and the party's 35th anniversary.
