Yemen's Houthi militia has unleashed a brutal wave of arrests in Ibb province, seizing dozens of citizens - including a prominent journalist - in a usual display of intimidation.

Media activist Essam Lotf was dragged from his home after posting a scathing critique of Houthi abuses on social media, timed with the September Revolution anniversary.

Abductions have ravaged multiple districts, with community leaders, young men, and ordinary citizens vanishing into Houthi custody - echoing a similar terror campaign in May and June that targeted doctors, teachers, and lawyers.
