Hadramout Governor Salem Al-Khanbashi demanded that Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia withdraw from the province, stating that local security and military forces are capable of securing the area.

Al-Khanbashi condemned recent looting incidents in Wadi Hadramout, citing his communication with STC leaders urging them to halt such actions. He attributed the crisis to groups affiliated with bin Habreesh entering PetroMasila company facilities.

 In an interview with Al-Hadath channel, Al-Khanbashi revealed that an agreement had been reached with bin Habreesh to withdraw his groups from the facility, which has since been secured by local protection forces.

He emphasized that STC militia that came from outside Hadramout must return to their bases.
